SUPPORTING CHARITY CHALLENGES
Selkie’s New Year’s Resolution is to support a number of enthusiasts who are taking on a personal outdoors challenge for Charity.
We would love to help out with some Selkie kit, advice, and tips through our network of outdoors adventurers and Team Selkie. And to help you shout about your project and raise awareness of your chosen charity we will provide a discount code for your audience.
In exchange, we ask you to keep us and the rest of the world up to date on your journey with photos, videos, and blogs, using #sharetheselkielove.
If you are this person starting your journey, getting out of your comfort zone and planning your challenge for charity get in touch.
Perhaps you know this person, so pass it on or share it widely :
Email us on charitychallenge@selkieswim.com by 31st January and
- tell us a bit about you and your challenge – how and why?
- tell us what your chosen charity does and why you picked it.
- add some pics or videos or some relevant links if you want

I have been training in different sports for a while but never found one that I could do as I always hurt so much afterwards. 7 years ago I was diagnosed with a degenerative bone disease that affects a lot of joints in my body. I didn’t want to give up so I gave myself a goal to do para Poomsae competition in Taekwondo. It involves doing different patterns of moves that I can do at my ability through a local taekwondo club. In December I did the first competition and received a Silver Medal. This January I am competing again but at a international competition in London through a invitation. Without the taekwondo club encouraging me and understanding my disease I would never have done this. TCTKD is a C.I.C and is always doing activities for the community and it’s students. They are fantastic and I enjoy going every week to train and be with such an encouraging group of coaches and students.
